Our campus

I have never understood why so many people want to leave our campus and transfer to other schools. Our campus is so pretty and has so much to offer. Even though we aren’t huge, we still have a great amount of people and it’s a lot of fun when you make friends with as many people as you can. I love this campus and I would never want to leave it because of the majors it offers and the people that go here. I love all the friends I have met and I love all the opportunities tech has given me! The sunset on campus is absolutely gorgeous and can be seen from every angle of campus.

My besties bday!

I don’t have enough space on this blog to write everything I actually feel about this girl, so I’ll try to summarize. ITS MY BEST FRIENDS 20th BIRTHDAY!! Literally she’s my favorite person and everyone knows that her and I are a pair. Without her in my life it would be a wreck. We have done everything together and gone through more crap together than any normal human is supposed to go through. She’s been my rock through life and I hate that the only times we get a good picture is when she is dressed like a pirate. But that perfectly describes us anyway. So thankful for her parents created her 20 years ago. They just knew there was a hopeless ginger in the world that needed a best friend. Thanks Janet and Russ. Celebrating her bday from Russellville but sending my love to her in Jonesboro!

My team

About to brag on this team real quick. We have gone through so much this semester and over came many obstacles. I couldn’t be more proud of this team and the many goals we have accomplished. We’ve come a long way but I promise this team right here is the best that Tech has ever had. And I am more than thankful to be apart of this awesome program. I love each and every one of these people and I’m so thankful for the opportunities we have had that has brought us together as a team. Now, let’s have an even better basketball season and show Arkansas Tech what we are all about!

Fox Sports

The biggest surprise of all from the Heart of Texas bowl was that we were on TV! The game was being broadcasted live from Fox sports network! It has always been my dream to cheer on TV and I did without ever knowing it. It was super exciting when one of my friends sent me this picture saying that o was on TV! I know that I was making a silly face in this picture. I was probably in the middle of saying, “let’s go tech!” It’s super cool knowing that I got to fulfill my dream. I’m super sad that my parents didn’t get to watch. Especially my dad since I’m his only kid and he loves it that I got to do stuff like this.

NBA Player

There was a special appearance by a really famous NBA player at the bowl game this weekend! His name was AC Green and he has played for the LA Lakers, the Phoenix Suns, and the Dallas Mavericks. He still holds the record for most consecutive games played in the NBA. I had no idea who he was when we saw him at the game, but then when I figured out who he was I realized he was famous so I knew I had to get a picture with him! He owns his own rehab facility for athletes. Some of those athletes include Lebron James and Floyd Mayweather. He is very successful and I’m glad I got to meet him!

Teams Uniting

It was really awesome that when we got to the stadium we got to meet the other cheer team. They were a lot smaller of a team than us and they didn’t have near the experience as us. It was awesome though because we performed at half time and so did they but we were obviously so much better. They could only do so much with the team that they had. But we cheered for them and they cheered for us. It was a lot of fun and it was awesome to see how much better we were and how much our fans appreciate us!

Surprise by Jerry!

When we arrived at the stadium ready to cheer on the Wonderboys, we got a nice surprise from our cutest and biggest fan. If you have ready any of my blogs already you know that I have an obsession with our schools ambassador, Jerry. He is by far my favorite at the games and I always get to excited to see him! We had no idea that he was coming to the game and when he showed up of course I was the first one to approach him! He is so photogenic and I’m so glad I got a good picture with him! I am extremely surprised that he handled a nine hour drive as well as a big bull dog could handle. He slept the whole time and got here safely and that’s all that matters.

Arrived in Texas!

After we arrived in Texas we decided to all dress up and go out to eat as a team! So the Arkansas Tech spirit squads, both the cheerleaders and dancers decided to go to this really nice restaurant in Copperas Cove called Little Italy! It was obviously Italian food and it was so good! We all found stuff that we liked. I got the lasagna and a salad and it was so good. We never take team pictures because not everyone likes each other but I was able to get everyone to take a good group selfie eating out good food!

Headed to Texas

This picture was taken right before we loaded the bus to head to Copperas Cove, Texas for the Heart of Texas Bowl game in which our Wonderboys will be playing Eastern New Mexico State. We were all so excited and can’t wait for this amazing experience! The drive on a bus to Copperas Cove is nine hours. We ended up stopping like three times and watched about five movies on the way there. The bus had a bathroom, a tv and DVD player, and electrical outlets so that we could charge our phones. It was really nice and I hope that we can take a charter bus to more sporting events.

Heart of Texas Bowl

As I sit here and get ready to write down my final test schedules, I have to write down the fact that I will be going to the Heart of Texas bowl!!! I am so excited because the Wonderboys have done better this season than they have ever done before! We had won eight games and lost three when we got invited to go to the Heart of Texas bowl! The other team invited is Eastern New Mexico State University. They had only won six games and lost five. So we automatically know we will have a good game. I am super excited to see how the game will turn out and see how well we will cheer our boys to victory!
